A Rural Oasis

We constructed this garden in Kyneton. A large native garden with a path winding past a rock planter bed and a stone seat. The design is by Kathleen Murphy.

The path arrives at a dry creek bed with a recycled timber bridge.

Native plants were chosen to give shape to a relatively maintenance free garden and also to create wind breaks along the boundaries.

Internally the garden beds are made up of smaller shrubs and grasses creating dramatic texture and combinations of colour. Throughout the garden are carved out rocks, nestled between the plants.

A large rusted sculture bobbles in the breeze, before a backdrop of weeping pear trees.
