Modern meets traditional. the owners of this property asked TGB designs to design a garden which blends australian native fauna with Mount Macedon’s traditionally english planting.
Also tying in with the traditional elements are the dry rock walls, though blending with the modern look of curved rendered walls.
With a lot of earthy colours in the walls, mulch and toppings they are softened by greenery in the grass and plantings.
Curves are a feature of the design and create great shape throughout the garden. These also pick up the dramtic roof line of the house and lessen the squareness of the vertical walls.
Step stones lead from the house to a decking boulevard.
Old red bricks form a spoon drain to edge the lilydale topped driveway.
